This is superb so far. It feels very cold and wintery. I feel like I’m a ghost wandering the arctic, lol.

Yup, loved this. Tim Hecker does no wrong. My only complaint is that this feels like a winter album to me so why is it out in April?!

  9. Just finished my first listen and I'm floored. I don't know how this passed me by... didn't he use to have much, much more hype on this forum?

The individual threads for his past albums have never garnered more than one page so not sure this is an anomaly. I guess I would say he is generally discussed more in the ambient music thread and it has been discussed here and there in that thread but maybe not as much as previous albums. It is nice to see him getting some mainstream attention for this one with the likes of Pitchfork, Theneedledrop, and The Guardian giving favorable reviews.

This might be my second favorite Tim Hecker album.

Lotus light is one of the greatest pieces of music I’ve ever heard

  14. Gotta give this a listen on good headphones but I really like it on first listen, up there in his catalog for me. VERY bummed I missed tickets for his Chicago show, might try to show up day of for those sweet sweet door tickets.
