That album was perfectly balanced melodicism with an edge. They've got a really specific sound, and while Self Titled is great, I think Two Worlds and onwards was when they really locked it down in terms of band cohesiveness imo. but it doesn't have the hit!! so it gets underrated in pre-charmer talks as far as i know, yeah, though he's doing/done the new one that they worked on
Joyce are some of my favorite songwriters, and so are Tigers Jaw. They seem to know exactly what they want, and they do exactly that, no fucking around. it's excellent
what if adam was that prolific while he was in TJ also excited for the next TJ to see what adam-less TJ even is
They both sing. or sang. On Charmer, Adam sings Cool, Charmer, Slow Come On, Soft Spoken, and What Would You Do. The rest are some combination of Ben or Ben and Brianna, except for I Envy Your Apathy, that was Pat who was the old drummer
Damn I wish I could listen to Tigers Jaw again for the first time. I actually wore my Charmer shirt today and I haven't listened to them in a looooong time. Glad this thread got bumped, gonna listen to the self-titled later tonight
He does, yeah. I like adam's voice better too but luckily theyre both awesome songwriters and ben is still a great vocalist
this band is at their best when ben and brianna are singing together. hopefully the majority of the vocals on the new songs are shared rather than split up.
i didn't even realize that aside from what would you do, this band had anyone singing other than ben and brianna
Adam has such a unique voice-- I'm not sure how you couldn't distinguish it from Ben and Brianna's. With that said, I truly have tried and failed repeatedly to enjoy a single second of music by Wiccaphase
If Adam is the deep voice Wicca phase guy his voice sucks and I'm glad he's gone if his voice wasn't so bad wicca phase would be so dope
