How to Find New Music, According to Critics, Spotify, and Teenagers

 

I read about half of them haha, it's an interesting world out there. I would say I find 70 percent of my music from this site and the other 30 percent from friends or just searching sites and trying out stuff

This doesn't touch Charmer so far. Still really good just a few songs don't really distinguish themselves from others, specifically on the back half. Guardian has to be my favorite, the instrumental jam is so groovy.

 

they were pretty good. long set, split 50/50 between pre and post charmer it felt. energy was in the room for early songs. never really listened to or cared for their earlier stuff but they were also the band i was least excited to see on the bill, hah

 

Lol yea I figured, do they play any Adam fronted songs, if so how did they come out? I guess I could always look at the setlist ha

they did cool and slow come on so i assume they did some earlier adam stuff too
charmer too

 

The beginning of Same Stone reminds me of a Dinosaur Jr. song which is cool.

I really dig this. Brianna stepped up massively on her songs and between them, I honestly don't miss Adam being in the band at all.

Follows feels like old Tigers Jaw filtered through their current production and the drum rolls really make this song. Favourite has such a simple lyric in the chorus but it hits very true for me, and when Ben and Brianna sing these kind of lyrics they don't sound cliche but just really honest and I think that's what I like about this band the most.

June is fantastic and I love that little keyboard line before the first chorus. I wish Brianna's vocals were higher in the mix though, but it's a fantastic song and she's stepped up to plate so well. Escape Plan feels like a classic TJ slow song like Slow Divide, Teenage Rocket, Never Saw It Coming, etc.

Also I love the lyric in Window:
"Why does the room still spin at the very mention your name? Why do the walls close in every time I see your face?" Really simple but effective.

Really enjoying this, the only Tigers Jaw album I've been able to get properly into. Next album definitely needs more Brianna led songs though.

 

June is straight fire.

 

Nothing will top B&C split for me, but yeah I like this a great deal.

Glad Brianna was heavily featured on here. Even though I liked the old singer a lot.

Never listened to this band before, saw the love this album was getting and decided to check it out. I love it. Going to dig in to their discog more at some point but this one is going to be on repeat for me for a while, I think.

The run of Guardian-Bullet-Brass Ring is pretty incredible.
