Great thoughts, I really agree with your third point obviously... it's not that there are any bad songs or that it isn't dynamic bc it is, I just know how great they could sound together on slower songs with more space. I honestly think that this record was the one where they reestablish themselves as masters of the genre and the next one they really blow us away

Yup, exactly. It needed a slower song with more space, or 2, on here. And I have to agree with that last statement, even though right now after 3 full listens I think this album is absolutely amazing, songs are getting stuck in my head so much and it's not just one track.

    This is so good

I really am glad that Ben & Briana are left. I've always preferred their vocals, and they really shine on this.

I mean you can't really ever tell most of the time, unless it's like a truly drastic scene change like TFB to FBR or something.

Unless you're getting radio play or getting on tv or something it's mostly just the organic growth

This is pretty solid. I think I like Charmer more, but I love how hooky this one is.

Yeah I don't use streaming services but it always blows my mind how much my friends rely on those playlists for new music

I want to listen to this so bad. I couldn't find a leak so I bought the record from the Warner site and it's only giving me a download to the singles and not the whole album.

i think the songs are all really good but i also feel like this blends together quite a bit. they do that one thing very well though.

drum production bothers me a bit though, i hate when drums sound too clicky.

That was my issue. Everything just felt like lesser versions of Guardian. Not sure I remember a single song outside of Guardian. But I was also drunk so let's see how I feel later haha

Could be overuse of triggers, could be too much direct mic and not enough room mic. I dislike this too.

There are some songs that they sound fine and some (guardian is one of them) where It's very much so

drums didn't bother me but theres definitely something to say about every song on here being in strict 4/4 time signature. I think a nice 3/4 or 6/8 feel would have been a nice change of pace. I still really love the hooks and I think this will hold up, I feel that there's something to love about every track.

This is so great on first listen. I'm really glad I only listened to Guardian and June a few times before this dropped (I didn't check out Escape Plan and now it stands out as one of the best). The album is a little samey, sure, but their most varied album (Charmer) is mostly midtempo, and I remember people complained about a lack of flow to that record
