I burned out so much on listening to the 4 singles from the album, that I made a separate playlist for the rest of the album that I am now streaming on repeat
this is the only thing i've really wanted to listen to since it dropped. been trying to limit my listens because i don't want to wear it out too fast but god damn this is so good.
Hard to see anything else topping this album this year. Been playing it almost on repeat since it came out. Truly love this band!
Been cutting wayyyy back on vinyl lately for $ reasons and the fact I don’t spin them enough….however i did just order the /300 AP press because this album is perfect
Been heavy into this record these past couple weeks. Haven’t gotten tired yet. Likely won’t get to catch them on tour this summer, but I hope to hear some of these tracks live at some point
Might watch that whole thing to relive that night. Briefly scanned through and saw me getting my shit rocked in the pit a few times.
3 things and maybe a 4th later. 1) love this album 2) the merch - the 'football' shirt is fantastic. I love it. Seems good quality and fits well. 3) about to see them live. 4) .... I'll update with an opinion - I've never seen them, and I've looked up the setlist and it's missing a certain track I thought would be a staple for sure, but I'm pumped as it's solid overall. A lot from this album which going back to 1, did I mention, I love it?
Which one? To me this band has so many bangers that I’m very curious how they narrow down a setlist (and if it were up to me they’d play “Charmer” at every show lol)
I've never really fallen hard for Tigers Jaw until now. This album is incredible. Every song is impeccable and the way it ties up at the end makes me just want to hit play again immediately. I had a moment when listening to Light Leaks Through last night and a huge wave of nostalgia for No Use For A Name washed over me. I miss those guys so much and this just hit me in a way that their music used to.
The songs off the new album sounded great live. They're so low key / bare bones though - they sound checked themselves, and were just sort of standing on stage getting ready then started. IE - no pre performance hype song and walking onto the stage to cheers, they just came out, did a little sound check, and went at it. They had no light production whatsoever besides house rigs, and they just ripped straight through the setlist barely interacting. The performance was high energy, and the crowd went wild for some of the older cuts, but to be honest, that's not my sound anymore and I was a late comer to the band anyway. I basically enjoyed everything from the last 3 albums way more which was kind of a split on how much the crowd was into it on a song by song basis. Overall it was a solid setlist, but for a band that's been around for so long, I was a little disappointed with the lack of stage production. Baptized on a redwood drive was my standout live and probably my favorite on the album too. A beautiful song.
Wait, Brianna didn’t disembowel an evil clown before the encore and the whole stage wasn’t on fire ? I’d demand a refund
if i didn't know what tigers jaw sounded like and i just heard or read the band name i would think they played the metal persuasion edit: with that said the new album is fucking awesome and 'Baptized On A Redwood Drive' is a sonic masterpiece, god damn is that song good. long live jaws of tiger!
