20% off in their webstore rn with code REALCOOLSTORE. Finally picked up Spin vinyl (which I hadn’t seen in stock recently?) and Eyes Shut for $42 all in
Whether or not the band actually wrote this, it’s still a nice little touch. Plus the free sticker is cool too.

Threw on some old TJ tonight and it’s hitting the spot—the Studio 4 Acoustic Sessions (truly a masterpiece), the S/T, and some of the EPs including the live stuff (2008 live Spirit Desire is so fkn gorgeous in the messiest way). This is the Tigers Jaw that I miss… there was something so authentic and real about them back then that you can feel in every lyric, and the way they were unafraid to just jam for lengths of time on the early stuff is very enjoyable. I get major nostalgia from that. I hope one day they’ll be able to recreate that fire for me—this band used to mean a lot to me, but ever since Spin, it just feels a touch uninspired to me.
Ugh, it’s so good. Absolutely not as polished or controlled, but great for what it was. The rawness is what I like about it actually. The lyrics feel more genuine too, IMO. That might be why I love the Studio 4 Sessions so much—the old songs do end up sounding “prettier” compared to the raw originals with more focus on the vocals/lyrics. Also if you like the show Twin Peaks, you’ll love all the references!
Saw them last night. These new songs sounded great. Wish they would played a few more from Spin. Ben & Brianna’s harmonies are so good. Brianna’s mic was a little too low though. Was stuck behind annoying people for most of it.
Show was so so fun but X2 on turn up queen B’s mic. Also can’t believe how much older stuff they played; people went apeshit for it though.
I am listening to this band for the first time ever (as far as I can remember? which is strange because I love emo), specifically the pizza album, and I have to say this is very good
That, Two Worlds, Charmer, Studio 4 Sessions, and all their EP’s from that era are gold. I feel like Spin onwards is a different vibe, but jealous you get to experience that old stuff for the first time
Because the Wicca Phase guy left the band? I know people say they aren't as good when that guy left but I also know a lot of people loved this album.
So Cat's Cradle came on in LA Fitness the other day. I nearly lost my shit. Also, I am so happy they did the No Cap stream of the Pomona show last night. I ended up selling my ticket to their early Chicago show as was gonna cut it too close to Greg Barnett
Been on a massive TJ kick lately and I was watching their recent live shows and wow, I never realized how insane the drums are in Can't Wait Forever. That song translates so well live.
