commit has really evolved into a jam for me. brianna really shines on her songs.

 

Loving every track on this, but especially Hesitation, Lemon Mouth, and Anniversary.

 

There's so much to love about that song! The riff is super jumpy, the hook is incredible, and I have such a huge soft spot when songs do a little pause in the melody ("When was the last time you were honest with yourself... or with me?")

 

the more i listen to this to more its just kinda there for me. maybe my biggest disappointment of the year because of how much i adored spin. probably a 60/40 split between songs i like/love and songs i just can't really remember anything about.

 

Does anyone know where I can listen to their Hey Ya cover? Looks like the AV club took it down

 

After feeling like this album was pretty hollow and disappointing, it's grown on me quite a bit. I think my expectations and general adoration of Tigers Jaw set me up for initial disappointment. Really into it now.

 

I still adore this album

 

its still hella hollow to me outside 2 or 3 tracks.

 

Nothing really stuck for me but Lemon Mouth, which is one of my favorite songs of the year.

idk just feels like they mailed it in. watered down spin

 

Still in the top three for me this year. Certain songs have grown on me since it was released in March (Body Language, Never Wanted to). I think watching the record release stream is what really sold me on this as a collection of songs. Seems like a more improved Spin which drags in the middle. I'm hoping they stay in the direction of Lemon Head and Anniversary for the next release.
