The film follows Jon (Andrew Garfield), a young theater composer who’s waiting tables at a New York City diner in 1990 while writing what he hopes will be the next great American musical. With the clock ticking, Jon is at a crossroads and faces the question everyone must reckon with: What are we meant to do with the time we have?

Starring Andrew Garfield, Alexandra Shipp, Robin de Jesús, Joshua Henry, MJ Rodriguez, Bradley Whitford, Tariq Trotter, with Judith Light, and Vanessa Hudgens.

Not dumb to love this movie. It's way better than it had any right to be. I wouldn't say I *loved* John Larson's music from this show, but it speaks to how well crafted the whole thing is that it all works.

  10. Really loved the movie. Give Garfield his damn Oscar! I've been listening to the soundtrack and 1990 cast performances all day.

Man the more I think about this the more I absolutely love it

  15. I did a deep dive on the show's history and Larson after watching it the first time. Listened to all the cast performances I could find, all the available clips from the previews Jonathan did, his 1989 demo for the entire thing, and then I watched the movie again last night.

The soundtrack is all I've listened to today. What the heck?

What are the chances people’s parents have mistaken the Kevin James movie as this one?

Been trying to get my buddy to watch this for a couple weeks now, he finally threw it on and texted me during 30/90 to express his delight about how much it sounded like a Rocket Summer song

Hands down one of my favorites this year. It's just just so good on every level. And Andrew Garfield is perfect.
