I'll never forget the first time I heard Thursday. I was 16 and driving with my friend and he had Full Collapse on. This was back in 2002. I was just getting into bands like TBS and The Used and this kind of music. Anyway, he had Full Collapse on and I didn't really care for it at first, but there was something about the raw production and the screaming that had me really intrigued. Plus my friend was going nuts while it was on, so it made me kind of like it more than I probably did at the time.

I bought the album - and Waiting - around that time and listened to both on and off. WATT came out when I was a freshman in college and I really liked it, probably more so than Full Collapse. It was pretty popular on the college campus.

Then ACBTLD came out and it instantly connected with me. I've said it in here many times, but it's by far my favorite Thursday album. Always has been and always will be.

I cooled off on Thursday after college. When Common Existence came out, I bought it right away but didn't really give much time to it until years later. I've really come to like it. You Were the Cancer is epic. Time Arrow and Love has Led us a Stray are two of my faves as well.

When ND came out, I remember the Magnets caught in a Metal Heart song came out and I LOVED it. Then I heard the entire album and initially I didn't like it at all. It's only been recently (before this tour) that I've gone back and really given it a lot of listens and I've come to like a lot of it, mostly No Answers, Sparks, Magents, Empty Glass, Turnpike Divides.

Mine was either Jet Black New Year or Ian Curtis. My story of getting into them was super lame. I remember MSN Messenging some random kid from a video game forum I frequented when I was 13. He sent me those two tracks and then I bought Full Collapse. From there, Thursday became my favourite band. And then from Thursday, I discovered all my other favourite music from bands associated with them and that's led my music taste to be where it is today. Weird how such a completely inconsequential online exchange changed my life.

I have one! Did you know Geoff hand numbered, signed and wrote a lyric line from the album on each one of the 500? It's my prized possession.

I wrote this band off for so long because I got the impression they just rode off of one good album like TBS (who I didn't like) and then on a whim I checked out a session bc it came up on my recommendation on YouTube. It was game over, true love

E: imagine my surprise when after that song I check out Waiting and Full Collapse

    YES!!!!

Except I saw the video on Myspace at the public library after school but that's somehow even more appropriate to the era.

Weirdly enough, I got a copy of Full Collapse from a friend after that and then didn't get into ACBTLD for several months after

Whatever happened to Fuse TV though? Only place in the world where you could see a Silverstein commercial nine times in five minutes haha

My first Thursday song was understanding. A friend of mine and I were big radio rock fans at the time and he'd started getting into the emo/screamo wave. He sent me that song and it had to grow on me but man was I soon hooked.

yeah divison st hooked me pretty immediately. then checked out WATT and was floored by how good that album was, it only got better from there as I trekked forward then went back for FC and Waiting.

I now have a dove tattoo on my right arm and I constantly compare other bands discographies to Thursdays, theyve become my measuring stick in a way. I'm generally more interested in lyrics then the music itself, its the reason I can still enjoy a band like Rise Against so much because they cover so many topics and Tim is a great lyricist and a great person in general, but Thursday have the complete package. Not only do they do interesting things musically, but Geoff is such a fascinating and vivid storyteller who also tackles a lot of different topics and themes. So yeah i kinda love this band a lot

I'm sure my first Thursday song was Understanding. I don't remember the specifics of getting into them tho. I used to listen to this random online radio station and i probably first heard them there cause it's where I heard most of the bands I got into. I do know that War All The Time was their current era when I got into them. I def remember my hype for ACBTLD and having all these stickers for it on my school binder lol
