It was ok during Thursday's set. I was on the under 21 side which chilled for Thursday but was ridic for touche. The over 21 side seemed a bit more wild for Thursday, maybe since their peak fans would prob skew older. Made me glad I didnt choose that side cause i could actually watch. minus the dude who kept thrashing his body back into mine. Most of the guys with no spatial boundaries or self awareness were during touche amore Then there's the songs people will always get more aggressive to, like jet black new year and understanding
I've never seen Thursday before and am assuming I may not ever again so I'm prolly gonna get there early for Chicago and try to get up front at the barrier. Hope I don't get crushed haha
Also I felt old af. Everyone around me was a fetus. This girl next to me was complaining about another girl in her first period class and was all "we can leave after touche cause idk any Thursday songs and I heard they suck live" and I was like
I felt old cuz some dude behind me said "my friend showed me touché in 8th grade and I've been waiting to see them ever since."
I feel old cause I'm turning 25 this year and am constantly surrounded by 19 year-old undergrads. Will update with Thursday-related reasons why I feel old after this Friday.
even when I saw Thursday the last time (before this last time. The last time before last??) I felt old and I was like 17 then. But everyone left after Fall of Troy like srsly I was cold in the venue because there was nobody around me. I just coasted to the front and it was nearly empty. It was so sad. I never really groove to Thursday's openers tho. I know a few Basement songs like casually and I thought their set was cute. Otherwise I usually just kinda sit there thru their opening acts, minus a few who I've enjoyed but not many tbh
Touche usually posts when they go on, if that helps any. I think Thursday went on right at 10 in Philly. Have fun at the show!
Damn. Too many openers. Glad this is on a Friday night cause it sounds like I'm not getting home til 2:30 with the time change from Central->Eastern
HEY COMMON EXISTENCE ROCKS HARD FUUUUUCK I've come to accept my two favorite Thursday albums are on lock but holy shit everything else is so good it is on constant rotation. What an incredible band
The e-stalker in me has noticed Thursday/Geoff favouriting a lot of tweets asking them to come to UK/Europe soon. Fingers crossed this is in their mind next! I will be at every date!
I hope the whole world gets the chance to see Thursday Geoff's vocals are honestly so good how are they so good when half of common existence has him at what sounds like near the top of his range
Oh same but in my case they did come to me lol. So wild you came from overseas, hope you got everything you wanted from it. I also hope you get some deep cuts if they head to the UK/EU
It was maybe the most euphoric I have ever felt, so yeah I guess it was everything I could have wanted haha. I think I've posted this before but I always said to myself, as soon as they posted their hiatus/breakup message in 2011 that if they ever played another show I'd make sure I was at the reunion so I kept that promise and would do it all over again.
moved on from FC to WATT and fuck I'm impressed and can't get enough. I feel cheated that I hadn't gone through a thursday phase in my youth. also, it figures I'd get into this band 2 weeks after they play philly. FMR?
You're in for a treat. FC and WATT are great, but A City By the Light Divided onward sees them stretching out and becoming truly incredible IMO
Nice! I've got a 1.5-2 hr drive one-way but I still think I'm gonna get there pretty early. Don't care about the openers besides Touche but I'd like to be at the front
Just listened to No Devolucion twice all the way through while working on some stuff for my class. I LOVE THIS ALBUM. I am so grateful to have seen them in support of it too. They were so good.
