Last night was surreal. Great friends, great setlist, Turnpike Divides was very powerful, I got to meet Tucker afterwards. Really couldn't have asked for much more
lol I barely actually pitted at all but I legit saw people kicking other people in the face in the pit at one point. Fucking meat heads
So weird it was like that at the holiday show; people just out of control... you would think the audience would be growing up by now
I'll be able to unsee fans moshing to No Answers... At least I don't think anyone moshed to Sparks last night
Someone who was there should tweet Geoff. I'm sure if he spotted what was going on he would have said something and it's awful for people to feel unsafe at Thursday shows. I don't get how people who apparently enjoy a band like Thursday, who always preach such positive messages, can be such arseholes. Thankfully never seen anything like that when I've seen them.
Geoff said some words about people struggling with addiction before turnpike and how this is his first tour sober. It really hit me and I can't believe he said something like that, without their music to guide me my addiction could have gotten so much more out of control
Thursday was amazing at the Fillmore tonight, never thought I would have a chance to see this band live in my lifetime after I procrastinated so much when they were active. I can't even explain to you guys how pumped I was getting to see them for the first time. Audience was pretty good too until near the end where some dude punched a girl, not quite sure all of what happened, but nobody ended up being kicked out and many people didn't notice, including the band.
yeah I also had no clue Geoff struggled with addiction. How did I not know that. However, so happy to hear he's getting straight. Once you commit, it's hard to imagine going back to that hell hole you considered a life.
I was standing to the left if you're facing the stage, and some guy was pushing two other guys around, looked drunk to me. Thought some fists were gonna fly but thankfully his friend or someone got him away. But yeah, Thursday sounded great. I was so glad they played War All The Time.
From what I saw it was a guy with a hat and a long beard, it was weird because no one ended up being kicked out. Glad it wasn't something big though.
Geoff mentioned all these connections at the concert on Friday, was awesome knowing they've all had big influences on each others lives.
