I've been burned before so I'm being cautiously optimistic! If they can at least make it to California I'll go. I hate when bands reunite and only do the festival circuit or only do the east coast or something.
Like this statement here: " "At our peak, Thursday were a band fiercely devoted to local music, community and compassion," Rickly said in a statement. "We plan to use this occasion to renew our commitment to those ideas." This is about donating a portion of the proceeds to charity. Why would they be renewing their commitment for just a one off show?
As much as I want a new album I just don't know how they're going to top ND. It was also a perfect send off album. Of course though I'm dying to see them since I never did before the break.
I ran down the stairs and into the garden Put both my hands into the soil In the spring You will bloom Like her heart through the blouse In the back of the ambulance As it turned and turned down the street One more turn, won't you come back to me? As it turned on its red lights You were turning into Red roses Red roses Red roses Red roses But I'm not giving up...
That section of the song fucking floors me. Might be my favorite part of the entire album. Hell, I'd go as far as to say it's one of my favorite specific parts of their discography.
Been obsessed with them recently, Autumn Leaves Revisited is a perfect song and I can't wait to see them at Wrecking Ball
No Devolución and Permanence are such great records. I really hope Thursday and No Devotion can coexist.
