I have all the faith in the world that they could top ND. This band is incredible and are fully capable of writing more phenomenal music
How was reception, especially tour reception, to ND when it came out? Was anyone around for that and remembers?
They toured with TBS that spring and it seemed to do pretty good. TBS were playing way larger venues than they are now. Critics loved ND.
that video of Thursday doing magnets caught in a metal heart and I am the killer on that tour was the first time I heard a Thursday song, and also that tour bill is still baffling to me. Glad it did well, I just want them to play those songs more and I was wondering if they'd had bad experiences you're gonna suffer either way, I'd go w Thursday though because mwy will be a band for a long time, who knows what plans Thursday has though + they've been gone a while
Thursday and the hotelier!! *Imagine this being chanted 100x like "his name is Robert Paulson in Fight Club"*
Not an easy choice though, Brother, Sister is one of my favorite albums (I assume you're missing the anniversary show). Would tear me up inside to miss it but it's easy being objective when it doesn't affect me lmao
turn out for the ND tour here was....eh. not terrible but not packed like it was when i saw them on the CE cycle. but also it was just them and a local band (greek fire, story of the year side project) for ND, on the CE tour it was fake problems and dillinger escape plan opening. and i mean, for the ND tour, the people who were there were into it. i was on barricade going wild and geoff smiled and pointed at me when i was going nuts for an ACBTLD deep cut (forgot exactly which song)
This is about what I expected based on the amount of ND represented when I saw them. Bummer. Hoping these headliner shows include more universal good reception so they'll keep doing this + play more latter day stuff
i think they're at least still proud of ND and what they did on it, they probably wanted to minimize it in sets at first just for some fan service but i think they'll start playing some of those songs more as they play more shows. which i absolutely think theyll be active next year regardless of what theyve said
my friend got punched in the face on the CE tour.....by greg puciato's mic. lol. DEP pits are serious business
