I do wonder if part of the reason they're bringing him on is that they're genuinely worried about doing shows that aren't directly FC/WATT centered and the draw of it, even if FC is still a main part of it. So bringing someone who was big in the general scene to make up for it, and someone that obviously they're still very friendly with unfortunately. It sucks, there's so many other cool individuals and bands they could have gone with still.
Does a Chris Conley solo set really sell tickets? There's a lot of comments disappointed with the decision so there's at least a few people that don't want to support this. Bringing an abuser on tour is antithetical to Thursday's entire brand. Baffling. Just gonna like all the posts and hope they see it and realize this is a bad move.
I’ll be in the lobby during Chris Conley and will make a donation to RAINN at or above the amount of the ticket price. I am not gonna deprive myself of the chance to see City and No Dev songs live in St Louis though. Your mileage may vary about what’s acceptable but that’s what I’m gonna do
all the cool people this band knows in the industry and they chose this dickhead instead lol. I bet Anthony Green woulda been down
He is already opening for Microwave this spring, but yeah there’s tons of better options in the scene who aren’t problematic.
Even when Tim is physically there doing Dunes (like at festivals), he doesn't pay bass with them. Odd.
Oh you mean doesn’t play bass with Thursday I thought for some reason you meant he just chilled on stage during Dunes shows doing nothing lmfao I’m an idiot
Opened the presale. Saw the price. Closed. As much as I would love to go to this, I'm making smart decisions and not spending $50 with some of that going to Chris Conley.
Does anyone have the code? I think I’m gonna wait and see how it sells but I’m curious what it’s priced at here
I found it odd that on the cruise. He played the Dunes kick off show and then left the boat and didn't play the 2nd Dunes show or any Thursday shows. (So did Frank though)
I know we are owed nothing as far an explanation but it’s still so weird to me Tim and Tom just stopped playing with Thursday so abruptly and it was barely acknowledged and then Tim is in a different band with Tucker and plays with them all the time
I remember going to a signing at Warped Tour 2003 and all the guys commenting on my Texas is the Reason shirt and now Norman plays with them. A fun full-circle moment.
