two monkey paw curls for two underrepresented albums ("set culled solely from ACBTLD and ND" and this)
How much No Devolucion do you think they'll actually play? A little bummed it doesnt seem to be a full album run through tbh.
Signals v3 vinyl pressing mentioned at the bottom of the image Why were they teasing the "movie making business" if this is just a tour? I assume one of these shows will be streamed.
I don't understand why they can't just do a regular tour. Why does there always need to be a gimmick?
This is not coming anywhere near me, so that guarantees they'll close with Autumn Leaves Revisited every night.
yeah STD/Chris being in the middle sucks but this is a dope idea otherwise, and it's really cool for Birmingham to be a stop on it.
God damn this band can’t do anything right for you guys lol (this is solely about the formatting of the tour. Chris Conley is trash.)
Aside from CC being a piece of shit, I would honestly be bothered by any opener being the intermission/second act of the headliner's set.
I like the idea of it, especially if there's no lame first opener (looking at you, tours that still have 4 bands) since you're seeing the band you probably came for first, and gives the headliner a chance to rest up and have more energy for the back half of the set, especially if it means no teardown in between. but yeah, would have loved for it to be any other act that made sense in this context.
Kind of different, but a few years ago, I saw CAKE and there was no opening band and they were to go on right at 8 p.m. and I remember being so pumped about that...but then right before the show they announced there would be an intermission during the middle of the show. I was thinking it would like like 5-10 minutes max...No, it was a 40 minute break where lights came back on and everything and in my opinion the show/momentum just came to a screeching halt. To me, it would have been even worse if a separate artist played during that intermission (especially if it were someone I didn't care for). Just kind of ruins the entire vibe of the show.
Out of all bands I am always most bummed the new stuff hasn’t taken off for Thursday. At the end of the day, maybe they just prefer the nostalgia. And that’s cool. Probably 5 city songs and 2-3 No Devolucion songs in the first set and, 3-4 Full Collapse and then 1 new track with Jet Black and War All the Time. I’ve been lucky to see them at Crossroads in NJ and then Allentown before opening for MCR so I’ve likely heard all the tracks they will put out on this tour. Gonna be a pass for me. But if you haven’t seen Thursday lately, they still kill it. Just expect shorter sets. Also, trash for included Chris Conley. Lots of other people they could’ve thrown in the middle.
Hopefully with a break in the middle they can play a slightly longer set. The 12-song sets leave me wanting more.
If they actually did an album it would get more attention. One-off singles can only do so much for publicity. It really seems that Geoff prefers to leave ND as their final album release. It took a long time to convince him to release new music at all.
They're hinting at more later this year in the IG post comments (someone asked about Nashville and they said "you won't believe what will happen in Nashville later this year")
i am past the point where i expect any of these bands to do anything about conley after the glassjaw tour last year. pretty unhappy about it regardless edit: wow wild timing that my cd of no dev came in the mail today, ordered that back in september lol
