Setlist from the first night of the Silverstein tour is real good for only being 10 songs: Thursday Setlist at The Fillmore Philadelphia, Philadelphia
Wowwwww Fast to the End and The Other Side of The Crash/Over and Out not sure how normal it is to play those songs but I would’ve levitated had they bust those out during the encore of WATT tour last year
They encored with You Were The Cancer during the Chicago FC/WATT shows back in 2018 and I would love to relive that.
Yeah bit disappointing they're not doing all the new songs. Hopefully on the UK/EU leg when they should have a little longer set.
Uggghhh I really wanted all 3 new songs trying to decide if it’s worth like $45 to see these 10 songs and bounce , I’m not a Silverstein guy
fwiw they had a surprising number of songs ready to go for the Waiting shows last month so I could totally see them switching things up a little night to night
They're playing near-ish my area tomorrow that I have a friend going to, but it's a 2 hour drive for me and I can't justify going on a work night during this time of year
Reminds them of a shitty time in the scene and the band as a whole my association with that record is how fucking horrible I felt about being in Thursday. Everything we cared about was really out of fashion, and all the bands we really respected at the time held themselves as being too cool to be playing with a band like Thursday. And that’s all changed now. Weirdly Thursday now has become this cool band in retrospect that was doing some ambitious things musically. So that stuff has changed a little bit, but at the time it was never more pronounced how fucking uncool Thursday was. [Laughs.] Yeah, that was a tough time man. And there was this management team thing, and we ended up playing this stupid Taste of Chaos tour where we were supposed to go to Denny’s every night, and kids would come and take pictures of us eating. It was so fucking horrible.-Geoff Rank Your Records: Thursday's Geoff Rickly Explains Why 'Full Collapse' Is the Band's Best Record
I’ll never forget seeing them on that Taste of Chaos tour. A significant chunk of the crowd left after Bring Me The Horizon (crazy to think there was a time they opened for Thursday) and then even after that people were heckling Geoff telling him to stop talking in between songs. It was the worst I’ve ever felt for a band I care about during one of their sets. I was absolutely floored by Common Existence and No Devolucion but it was always confusing me to that those albums received almost no hype when they came out. I wasn’t surprised when they announced their initial hiatus because they always seemed so under appreciated during that time. It took a while but it seems like they’re finally being appreciated for how amazing and influential they are.
I can't recall a single Taste of Chaos being a good experience. It seemed to bring out the worst in fans.
