Guess i'm starting the new year off with revisiting some Thursday albums

 

Song is awesome

 

Yeah this is my favorite of the three new songs. Like a wormhole opened up to 2002 and I mean that in a good way haha

You could say that uhhhh on New Years Day they uhhh changed back to themselves (in the flame)

Yeah this song fucking rules, feels so nostalgic in the best possible way

 

I'll be shocked if the 2:38 mark isn't a Norman Brannon contribution. I've been revisiting Texas is the Reason a lot lately, and that part caught my ear immediately as being part of his repertoire.

 

I don’t know that that interlude is particularly distinctive but I definitely agree that bits of all three new songs remind me of Texas a lot

 

New song reminds me more of waiting than maybe any of their other songs.

3/3 for me.

 

Damn. I've waiting a long time for these songs, but it was well worth the wait. I think Norman is such a perfect fit for the band. I'm glad he isn't just a touring guitarist but being included in the recording.

3/3 for me as well.

On a side note, Norman ran an awesome hardcore zine (Anti-Matter). He shut it back down at the end of 2024, but you can still read the articles. There are a ton of gems in there.

 

I’m going to miss Anti-Matter so much. Norman got me into so many bands in that past year and a half run and I always got so much out of his writing and the musicians he talked with. He’s such a good interviewer.

 

Yeah, I enjoy all 3 new songs.

Selfishly, I really hope there is an album at the end of all of this. Or even a robust 5-6 song EP.

Otherwise, these songs will get kinda lost in the shuffle. I prefer to listen to albums, and I know if these remain one-offs they won’t get as much love as they should from me.

 

Super good to have new music from this band

Norman has been an incredible addition. His fingerprints are all over these new songs and I’m happy he’s a member.
