the song is incredible and i don't think he was that bad at it, haha. it's been stuck in my head all morning actually.
i think it's incredibly interesting since that's the sort of music he's into most right now. dude was wearing an orchid tapes shirt at the show, that was cool. tried to talk to him about that but he was so incredibly drunk at that point i couldn't, haha
Tone Geoff in full effect on that Climax cover. I like it though. Ariel Rechtshaid and Diplo wrote a classic with that one.
I guess I've always thought they were a little self-important, but hell, I don't know them too well; maybe I should just do a deep dive into their discography instead of saying shit like that, haha.
Geoff in that video saying 1 member was in jail and another in the hospital for 8 months. Which ones? I'm assuming Andrew in jail since he went missing from the shows for the last year or so?
I don't think they really did too much, I think it hurt them losing that BIG production from the backing of a major label. The next two records they recorded completely on their own budget
feel like they went proggier again rather than a straight up rock record like BSN was course the production definitely helped
I think you could argue that descensus is their most straight up rock record in their entire catalogue.. I think descensus would have been better if someone other than Yipp produced it but.. this isn't the right thread for that discussion
Hmm. I have them but they're on an old iPod. Moving my computer to my new house this weekend. I'll see what I can do.
A couple years ago my laptop crashed and literally the only thing I was upset about losing was my insane amount of Thursday music I had being accumulating since high school. Albums, demos, b-sides, live bootlegs, remixes. I must have had like 130 Thursday tracks in iTunes. Really kicking myself for not backing everything up.
I have a toooon of Thursday songs on my hard drive. Idek where I got them all but the hard drive is on its last leg so I should transfer my songs to a new one. Can't lose all my unreleased britney songs!!
Also, An Absurd and Unrealistic Dream of Peace is my sleeper pick for best Thursday song. That ending is crushing.
