Wild how it sounds like they never left, also like a direct continuation of their latest material... AND I hear different eras depending on the part of the song? I already want more
That’s what grabbed me earlier. 13 years later and it sounds exactly as where they would have gone after No Devo.
Finishing up my discography listen now. Man, they rarely miss. I was one of the lucky winners to listen to part of No Devo early during that tour and this album is still my favorite of theirs.
Yea I couldn't help listening to it early, I know I'm gonna listen to it a bajillion times when it's officially released anyway. Holy wow yea it's like they never fuckin left, absolutely great. Definitely getting CE/ND vibes from it, it's really been 13 years???? God damn.
In light of this news, I revisited Common Existence for the first time in years and it’s sooooooo fucking good. A City By The Light Divided will always hold a very special place in my heart as my favorite thing Thursday has done. War All The Time was when I discovered this band. Found the CD for sale at a flea market in the summer of 2004. Saw the “Victory Records” logo on a bin and noticed it was in a bin with Taking Back Sunday’s TAYF cd. Ended up buying War All The Time for $7 and never looked back after hearing it. It was my go to for those rainy summer evenings.
For those of us that complained about Geoff’s vocals being too low in ACBTLD mix….we’re finally free!!
It's perfect. If I had a dream where I heard a new Thursday song this would be it. It's up on bandcamp if anyone wants to give the band money. I certainly do.
haha I'm gonna be that guy, I think the vocals are a touch too loud. good song though! love the gnarly bits.
What a fucking treat. Never thought we’d get new material. Catch me listening to nothing but Thursday all weekend.
