From WATT wiki page: "The album sold over 74,000 copies, giving the band their best sales week. It charted at number seven on the Billboard 200 in the process.[69] In the UK, it charted at number 62.[70] By April 2004, the album had sold 259,000 copies[71] and 355,000 copies by mid-2006.[72] As of April 2007, it had sold 364,000 copies"
I have kill the house lights and read where are your boys tonight and Sellout and geoffs book and they share different pieces of info in all those about their experience with a major label and what happened. I always hope they get another shot or a big second wind or something. So many artists have come around and gone viral over an old song being used as a sound in a viral video. Something. Idk. I just want them to have the financial freedom to do what they want. I might be off base but I'm sure the nostalgia tours are also where the money is, and they've had a few big financial setbacks and need to survive.
I just rewatched the WATT and ACBTLD portions of the documentsry earlier today and Falling Bomb also came out of being told by Island that the album wasn’t done yet The dvd is as uploaded to YouTube by someone as one entire video in case anyone in here is interested in watching it. Definitely recommend it

Geoff talks in depth about the whole Victory to Island move in this recent podcast. Things were great but then everyone who signed them left the company. Their time at Island was pretty much over when they told L.A. Reed they didn't want to work with any "hit writers" for their albums. They nearly chose "Running From the Rain" as the lead single from City but Geoff wanted to go with "Counting". Right before City came out L.A. Reed said the band can just leave if they want. Up to them. Which is pretty cool for a major label but it was obvious the label didn't believe in them getting any bigger than they were.
Man, Welcome the Night is so good and a great progression in sound for the band, but for some reason nobody seemed to want it other than me.
I like the final album but I prefer to slap "The First Elegy" and "Sonnet For The Early Departed" on each end.
Tim Payne, or someone pretending to be him, is going on a massive like spree on FB comments right now from years ago for some reason.
This just happened to me! Lol. I stupidly commented on one of their posts about requesting songs for a tour as if they were going to deviate from the norm at all and he liked it like 2 years later
Yeppp, discovered so much music through that board which really shaped my music taste growing up It's a fake account, been doing it for months. Really weird
"Just before their first song, Geoff mentioned how their guitars and basses were stolen out of their cases while unloading before the show." Damn how does Geoff keep getting shit stolen from him, geez
