There’s an obligatory joke in here about celebrations and full collapse but it’s about time these videos from 2003 stop looking like 1990!

 

Keep this same energy for the 20 year of WATT please (though I assume Island records will make that impossible)

 

I know Thursday doesn't put on a long set, but damn, they're not going on until 9:55 p.m. tonight...on a Monday. Haha.

It dawned on me the other night when driving to the Full Collapse show, that Full Collapse is probably my least favorite Thursday album...

Full Collapse changed my life tho, no lie

 

Don't get me wrong, y'all. I love Full Collapse, and it was my introduction to the band 20+ years ago. And between FC and The Used's self-titled, those two albums were definitely my introduction toward harder music. Full Collapse is the type of album that I remember where I was and who I was with the first time hearing it. It had that kind of impact on me.

It's just not my favorite anymore and honestly, probably the least interesting Thursday album to me. It was a huge record for its time, but I am not sure it ages better than any of their other albums. There are way higher standouts on all of their other records (yes, even Waiting).

 

full collapse only ranks ahead of city for me but that more so speaks for how strong the rest of their discog is bc those two albums are still quite good. just happen to prefer what they blossomed into, which is kinda not ideal since full collapse is what they actually the give time of day lol

 

Can anyone who has been to this tour so far tell me if Steve and Tim are playing with them again? I imagine that Tim is after he just did the L.S. Dunes tour, but I know Steve has only done the No Devolucion livestream with them since the pandemic started
