I’m surprised there’s this many people left interested in FC vinyl. This is approaching TAYF level promotion and Thursday are tiny now compared to TBS.
My guess? A CD advance (or download code?) of "Full Collapse reimagined" with all of the album re-written in a post No Devolucion Thursday style. or more realistically a 7" of Understanding/Cross out reimagined and even MORE realistically A note from the band saying thanks for buying this thing
I feel like they would want to broadcast it as a "feature" if it was something like that. But if they would keep something like that a secret it would be legendary. I've been assuming incorrectly for years every time Thursday hints at a secret or surprise so I don't expect to be right starting now.
That vinyl set is tempting because I don't own Full Collapse on vinyl, but I also don't want to spend $110 and I certainly don't need a book. I suppose these will still sell out anyway.
I didn't realize how scarse Full Collapse was on vinyl. It seemed that Victory was stocking it consistently with various pressings for a long time. But it appears they haven't done a normal pressing since 2019
The footage of Thursday playing an arena is so satisfying. It’s like, the thing that should have happened if their career went a different way around 2005.
im past the point of thinking this band will ever put out new music again. shame they're just milking the nostalgia cycle over and over and over because at this point im completely over it and wont see them again until theres some new reason to go do so. its old at this point and i dont know how they dont feel the same way artistically.
Yooooooooooo my buddy just called and offered me a free ticket to Thursday/My Chem on 9/20!!!!! So stoked!!! I just saw yesterday that Thursday was touring with them, did they just announce it or was this known?
The only thing I like about that anniversary box set vinyl of Full Collapse is the reimagined artwork, the book-bound style, and that's it. They could have done so many different cool options here and they decided to release this.
always wanted to get into them and tried a couple times but i think i wasnt ready for it yet. read a tweet from a user on the forums that mentioned them and i tried again and it clicked. listened to the first 3 albums back to back the past two days. really liked the 3rd the most
Are you counting Waiting as their first album, or Full Collapse? Because technically their 4th album is their best - ACBTLD
Oh wow, looks like I skipped Waiting entirely. FC is the bottom most one on Spotify lol. ACB is the one I’m referring to as the one I really like on first listen!
Yes, ACBTLD is their best album. Also, Waiting is pretty good too. Streaks in the Sky is one of my favorite Thursday songs ever.
I'm a newbie as well since I'm seeing them open for MCR next week. I followed so many bands around the same era but Thursday always missed my radar for whatever reason. City should be the one I start with?
