I have a Thursday logo tattoo and it's okay. Most ppl think it's a religious tattoo lol and I kinda hate that it's a conversation starter. When they ask me what it is I just say "a dove" and leave it at that. Cause if I say it's a band logo they'll ask which one, and then there will be awkward cricket sounds. But it's near my bicep and I'm always cold and wearing long sleeves anyway so most ppl don't know I have it even if they've known me for years.
As someone with a big Brand New tattoo that people assume is ruining my life on a daily basis, I don't know. It's obviously objectively a tough situation to navigate. But it's your body—get what you want or don't want, and everyone is going to take that sort of bad news differently. But when you got the tattoo you didn't know said bad news, and the good emotions and memories you felt before you got it are still valid and real. Just my two cents.
Stumbled onto this great video from yesterday's This is Hardcore show. Audio quality is pretty good and the crowd is super into it.
The tour after it came out was great. Open with fast to the end and close with turnpike. Some others thrown in. Great show.
This is why Signals V3 was so special to me. Hearing (via livestream) all of No Devo was something that would never happen in any other scenario (because of society).
Was that the Basement and Touché tour? If so, they had to paper it to get that many in the door. All the bars downtown, in Ohio City, and Tremont had stacks of tickets. Truly one of the saddest things that I have seen.
I need more information about this 20th Anniversary Vinyl Thursday - Full Collapse 20th Anniversary Ltd. - 4 Vinyl
So it looks like concord records bought the victory catalog so this looks like just another repressing. Not even sure if the band would get any revenue from it. 4 LPs is weird for a 40 minute album with 2 bonus tracks $150 is also lol
Yeah it doesn't make a lot of sense. Not much better, but this site says it's a box set and instead of 4xLPs, it's 3x10"' + 7". THURSDAY - full collapse (20th anniversary edition) (Boxen) – Flight 13 Records And I do like the new, minimalist style artwork.
Also how did I never know about these special edition variants of Full Collapse that were sold at their St. Vitus shows? Thursday - Full Collapse Very cool.
