I’m anticipating something in regard to WATT. Tucker did an interview with Alt Press recently and had this to say:
Probably a repress, maybe a tour? Though a tour would be somewhat strange considering it wasn’t that long ago when they played that album from front to back on the band’s 20th anniversary tour back in 2019
One of the release I'm expecting is Signals Live Double album. As for the 2nd announcement I would be stoked for them to 're-imagine' some of their back catalog maybe it's just be FC since they've already performed Car Crash and Cross Out. A repress of WATT would be cool but it's understandable if it's not cost effective to get the rights back.
Considering they only managed to get 3/6 members for the last couple tours I think they're struggling to get everyone together.
That is true. I just figured writing would be easier as they could send ideas to each other which is an easier ask then a full on tour during a pandemic.
Wow I forgot about the 3rd one. But I don't really expect them to put that out all at once. Part 3 alone (Full Devo) would be a double LP.
Yeah but they said not that. I think it's a reference to the recent re-print waiting got where people were like "yeah but what else?"
I refuse to believe they will release a new song so I guess the "reimagined" full collapse is up first. They previously said we'd get something by end of March so I guess it'll be april now
ahem... a few... weeks? the way they say addition to discopgraphy really feels like an album or EP, not single... but I dunnoooo
Meanwhile I’m sitting here still wondering if that new No Devotion album that they finished forever ago will ever come out lol. Hoping for new Thursday and that… not particularly optimistic we’ll get either though.
I recently was reading the bio Velocity records put up for No Devotion and they talk about specific songs https://velocityrecords.com/collections/no-devotion It's maddening this thing has been done for over 2 years and I can't hear it. I feel like calling a live album we've already heard an "addition" is sort of weird. But that would technically be overdue to be released at this point.
Yeah it’s really strange. Velocity has been putting out music by other artists they’ve signed, so I’m not sure why the No Devotion album seems to be just collecting dust.
