It totally is. I've carved out an algorithm niche of some more "old school" emo and pop punk, but once in a while I'll get some modern pop punk/emo stuff and I'm like

why is that dude even in the video, he just stars silently forward, touches his hair, then slightly moves his face. just play the song with text, you don't need yourself in the video.

This is also why I don’t have a TikTok. Everything about it, even the slightest stuff, annoys me. When my fiancée is swiping through videos and I just hear the same parts of songs over and over again, or hearing that automated computer read text, it’s all like noise pollution to my ears.

I saw Thursday tonight in SF and Geoff broke his ankle mid-set. Played like 3 more songs sitting down with his ankle iced and then said “alright I gotta go to the hospital I’m sorry!” and (justifiably) cut the set short.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they cancel the next date. Godspeed, Geoff!

I was there. I think they actually played through their whole set, at least according to the setlists from past shows. An absolute trooper.

Super bummed that Division was one of those songs but I give Geoff all the credit for making it though a few more songs after his fall. Dude is a legend.

 

It was a good show and I applaud him for soldiering on despite being told otherwise lol
