Literally one member of The Appleseed Cast came on stage with a guitar and said he was scared because all the other members have Covid. He played the songs by himself…an indie rock/post rock band. shit is bleak.
That absolutely breaks my heart. I know that Crici is the last OG member, and writes most of the songs, but...fuck.
Covid aside, the show was awesome. Cursive was great and I’ve been waiting over ten years to shout “your tears are only alibis”. Geoff has such a good stage presence and groovy dance moves.
Is that real though. Like the dude said he was scared in stage? Also bizarre they allowed such shitty COVID policies go down at the venue. About how many songs did Cursive do? Also feel like Thursday play one of the shortest sets in the scene. Throwing a cover in there for a 15 song set is just frustrating.
Has to be because they're usually touring with fill-in members. That said, feels like a real missed opportunity to tour with Cursive and not play "Ladies and Gentlemen: My Brother, the Failure."
Still have one ticket available for tonight. I’ll give it to ya for dirt cheap. I’m far too tired to go.
as bummed as I am about this I don't think I'm quite comfortable going to a gig in a small room rn. so I have two tickets to Philly (1/24, Underground Arts) I'm trying to sell if anyone here is interested
yeah to tell you the truth I’m surprised it’s still going on but I get that it’s a very strange time right now
I was supposed to go see Lomelda tonight but the tour got postponed a few hours ago because someone got COVID in the touring party. I think some bands are just going out there as long as they can until they get a COVID case.
