I can only guess that No Devo wants to tour to support the record and since Geoff is busy with Thursday it's just on hold. Disappointing since we know that album has been sitting around for a while.
I'm not a midnighter but they just sent something to the people that are. I'm thinking it's the first single of the reimagined Full Collapse album since the 2nd photo is a reference to Full Collapse https://www.facebook.com/thursday/posts/468786131272694
Due to the delayed shows as a result of the COVID quarantine of one of the members Thursday will be airing an encore of Signals v2. A few pieces of the new tour merch is also available. https://livefrom.events/collections/thursday Long explanation here: A Message from Thursday As you might know, a few of us have been stuck in quarantine and / or sick, so are not able to play shows and hang out with everyone. We’re heartbroken and full of worry about the big UHAUL truck full of tour merch; paying back flights and hotels as well as other terrifying bills intertwined with the insane costs of rapid PCR tests, never mind looking after our crew who depend on any work they can get (just like us) these days. Not only are we full of stress, we are full of mashed potatoes. So full. With these problems in mind, we thought that we would stream a ‘pop up’ encore performance of our ’20 holiday extravaganza Signals 2 on Thursday night to try and pay some bills, have us all be together (at least virtually) and give us all something good to watch (sorry to Keanu, that new Matrix was way too meta, even for us). Some of the new tour merch is for sale also. Normally we have a merch company send it out but on this occasion it will be posted by the band. Maybe we should start an Only Fans to watch the remaining healthy Thursday members packing envelopes in the back of a truck(that’s gotta be someone’s kink, right?) Steve has a very fancy dove shaped embosser, so if you get one on the back of your envelope, you know it was him. Geoff will also be live on air before the show and at points during and band members will be in the chat room during also. Whilst this isn’t exactly George Michael and Bono at Live Aid (it’s much better) we do have to say that when we asked our friends Norman Brannon, James Bowman, Frank Iero, Walter Schreifels and Travis Stever if we could re-broadcast the show, they all got back instantly with a resounding YES and what could they do to help us? Our tour mates next month - Cursive allowed use of their epic St Vitus set from Signals V1 and we have been absolutely overwhelmed by the messages of support we have gotten from all of YOU. We are truly part of a great scene here. Signals V2 saved the holidays for us and our families last year and it is unfathomable to us that it could potentially save the holidays again this year. We could not love you any more. All love to our friend Laura Jane Grace. Thursday: Signals V2 Encore Thursday, December 30th at 7:30 PM EDT
That’s a bummer for them but depending on when the rescheduled Asheville date is I might be able to go now.
I listened through Full Collapse, War All the Time, and A City By the Light Divided back to back to back this weekend and damn, what a 3-album run.
I was honestly hoping the entire month was rescheduled. I don't see things getting better in the next two weeks to make it safe for the rest of the shows.
So the rescheduled Denver show is a night I'm already gonna be in Denver by chance so I snagged a ticket! Hopefully they luck out with covid and can actually play the show but who knows
I live in London and have tickets to 4 California shows. I'm so stressed Trying to get my head into a space where I'm going on holiday to California and if I see Thursday that's a bonus.....
Well, I’m pretty glad I didn’t go tonight then. Yikes. Really breaks my heart to miss one of my all time favorite bands, but I really dislike that venue and then hearing that sucks. Hopefully they’ll be back soon. Going to be so sad when they play Autumn Leaves when I’ve wanted to see that song live for so long.
