Saw someone mention Streaks in the Sky which I totally forgot about. What a song!!! Want to also give a shoutout to Geoff’s lyrics which are consistently mindblowingly gorgeous. His words might honestly be responsible for getting me interested in poetry and literature as a kid.

 

Agreed! (It's still my second to least favorite, which speaks to the band's overall quality)

 

I came back from the grave to agree with this post.

Also, an Absurd and Unrealistic Dream of Peace might be my favorite Thursday song.

We hold our hopes like cigarettes, then we leave them dying in the grass.

 

One of their best for sure. I really wish they’d included it on that album

I love Thursday, but they tease way too damn much for things that don't need to be teased.

Think it will be vinyl reissues given the new label. Listened to Geoff on BrooklynVegan yesterday and they are not close to releasing new music.

 

I mean I really want ACBTLD on vinyl so I would be fine if that was the announcement

 

Yeah as long as it's not some new sweatpants or something.

 

Them and MCR are teasing a lot recently. Bummer as I am on a big Thursday kick right now and would love to hear even a few seconds of new material at some point!

 

So they teased an April announcement so they could tease it on the Friday before the actual announcement.


I expect this will be details about the physical/digital release of the Signals 1&2 on Velocity. Maybe a re-issue of Waiting 15th anniversary?

 

The dove was done in 1s and 0s. Assuming that’s related to the opener and closer from full collapse

 

It was like that for the signals streams too though. My bet is on physical releases for those and possibly a v3.0 announcement and reissues of everything else including a special FC20 release.

 

They hashtagged their new post 256 days so it’s probably a holiday show announcement

oh man they put up a few copies of the St. Vitus vinyl of Full Collapse and I somehow snagged one before they sold out!

 

oh wow No Devo livestream is super cool, gonna have to check that out

 

I might have to watch that one. Probably the only Thursday album I’m truly into.

 

I hope it isn't going to be a "you got 72 hours to watch it then it's gone" situation again because I really don't want to miss it.
