My kill the house lights dvd is honestly a prized possession of mine. Watch it more than any other music dvd I've owned
Forgot I even ordered one of the signals shirts until it got here today. Idk how many variations of the dove shirt I think I need to own, but so far it's "a lot"
Wow that’s something. It’s kind of weird watching that and thinking in 11 days 9/11 would occur. I remember concerts were on hold for a very long time and being so nervous to go to a show like this afterwards.
That's cool. Shame the crowd is so dead even though FC had been out for a few months by then. Geoff's been on a couple podcasts recently if anyone wants to listen. Dunno why no one ever asks him whether Thursday might ever make new music, although I've not heard the second one. Rigs of Dad The Rigs of Dad Prodcast ep 45: Geoff Rickly (Thursday, No Devotion, and more) Lead Singer Syndrome Geoff Rickly (Thursday, No Devotion, United Nations)
Shane asked Geoff on it. He said they were going to try to get in the studio/write, then the pandemic hit and it’s kind of been put to the side for who knows how long while every reevaluates what they’re doing in their lives.
During Geoff's interview on Lead Singer Syndrom podcast, he referenced their Conan O'Brien performance on Thanksgiving where they played War All The Time.. Can't find anything on youtube. Any rips anywhere? Only see the kilborn performance where they play Signals.
It was really good interview. What a shame that they seemed to be ready to start writing new music but Covid had halted it It must be tough when they have other commitments and live in different states but hopefully they'll have an opportunity to come together and give it a go sometime. Would be amazing to hear what they put together. Also what he was saying about how oppressively dark Thursday's later stuff was - not sure I really I feel that, but interesting to hear his perspective. Interested to hear what happens to the book Geoff is writing, sounded like a fiction project? Cool
I could see him feeling ACBTLD, and CE are pretty dark. Though ND is definitely more atmospheric for lack of a better word.
Signals live album. Geoff said recently that the pandemic has meant that they aren't close to new music at present.
