I got home and read over the pamphlet they gave out, was there some exclusive merch for that or what?
I can't believe they played Running From The Rain aka one of their best songs. I need to see some footage asap!
Hey, not really sure if this is the place, but I have been searching for a few days now and have had no luck. Recently, have gotten back into listening to some Thursday and whenever my playlist hits "Telegraph Avenue Kiss" I can't listen to it because I am so used to/prefer the demo version of the song that came out/leaked before the album. I am curious if there is anywhere I can access this version of the song to listen to. Thanks!
This makes me sad. I hate how so many Thursday fans don't appreciate more of their discography. That split is amazing.
I was waiting in line for the WATT show in LA and the dudes in front of me were talking about possible encores and one of them was like “well I looked on twitter and last night they played songs someone said are on a split with a band called envy? Did they release new music? I’ll have to check it out.” And I just stood there disappointed.
Fans always pay good thursday songs dust I swear. Once I saw them and they were like "this is a song from our album called common existence" and I swear I was the only one who cheered!! The nerve tbh!
I honestly think they'll never release new music simply because of how horribly their later material is received. The last couple of times I've seen them since their comeback Geoff always half jokingly introduces newer songs with something like "bear with us while we play some newer stuff and then we'll get back to the old stuff." Its gotta suck knowing people just wanna hear the hits.
I'm a late comer to Thursday and got into them when CBTLD came out and I much prefer their 2003-onward era stuff. I gave their last album a perfect score in college for my newspaper and I stand by that.
Well today is the first day that there's been an autumnal chill in the air here in STL, which means it's definitely time to listen to nothing but this band for about the next month or so.
Can this band do a tour of intimate shows for those of us who like the later material where the main set is No Devolucion all the way through? I'd pay like 3x the cost of a regular ticket for that.
I'm so so grateful that I did finally get to see this band in Chicago two winters ago though. I missed out on the chance to see them so many times in the ACBTLD-ND eras and ended up kicking myself pretty hard, so it was wonderful to make that right.
im gonna be in STL next week, im gonna get all nostalgic and just listen to thursday the whole time im there
