Got the tickets finally!

Wow I was hammered when I posted this. It must have been 3 am.

Cell phone cameras have come a long way since the last time they played this..hopefully a good one or two videos pop up after these shows.

Anyone interested in tickets for the War all the Time LA show on 4/28? I am not going to the show anymore and have three tickets.

i really hope this isn't the band's last string of shows, i'm glad i got to see them twice since getting back together but these album shows are so not my speed

I hope these arent their last shows cause they're all super far away from me but I'm used to my area being skipped on most tours so it's more of the same I guess!

 

Ok so I live in England. Someone convince me not to do the dumbest thing and make my SECOND trip across the pond to see this band play shows?

I'm trying to justify it to myself because my mum is from NJ and hasn't been back to see family in about 15 years, so maybe if I accompany her I can convince her to make the trip (not sure if Thursday shows would be her scene though lol). It would also be nice to see family.

What's this Asbury Park area like?

 

Cool little beachfront town - has a pretty rich musical history, good nightlife, solid food, etc

 

Any suggestions on where to stay or eat if traveling a long distance?

 

Porta and Talula's have great pizza, and Speakeatery has really tasty sandwiches. I really like Brickwall Tavern too (awesome beer selection).

Personally I can't speak to the hotels, but I would say first look around the Asbury Park to see what prices are like. Long Branch and Red Bank are cool if you don't mind staying north, and to the south you have Belmar and Point Pleasant. Each have their own charm and restaurants/bars that attract people from the area.

So I've ended up buying tickets to all 4 shows lol

No idea if I'll go or end up selling on but it would make one hell of a trip. Got to look at flights.

If I do go, I'll probably be going on this section of the trip on my own, which doesn't bother me massively but I wonder if a chorus.fm meetup might be in order so I have some Americans to drink beer with.

 

I'm going Sunday but I wish I had bought tickets for Friday.

 

I’m doing all four in Brooklyn and Friday for Asbury. Still haven’t figured out the logistics for NY but it will be a blast.

 

I would be down to meet peeps for beer, even though I won't be going to any of these shows haha.
