Is there any reason why they wouldn't just do one night for each city, playing both albums in the same night? The run time for the two albums combined is 84 minutes, you figure you add in some talking time between some songs, and you can easily still have a typical 90 to 95 minute set, which is a normal set time for most bands. I get they normally keep their sets at 15 to 16 songs, which in my opinion is really short for a headliner. Also, will they be playing other songs at each of these shows? I know some bands who do album tours, they'll do a 5 to 6 song set of others songs before or after the full album.
I originally had 'other than money' in the first line, but took it out. I took it out, because to make up that money, they could have just played more cities. So instead of 8 nights in 4 cities, they could have done 8 nights in 8 cities.
I'm sure even a normal show is hard on them (especially Geoff), so that's my biggest guess as to why they wouldn't do two albums in one night.
Having seen Full Collapse before I’m focusing on the WATT Chicago date. That album WAS my teenage years.
Facebook post yesterday: "We will have a big announcement brewing for next week also. Expect the unexpected is all we will say." Hmmmmm
