Wonder if it has something to do with the Band drama before the hiatus. Geoff seems like kind of a social justice warrior, shame on him for the silence, if true.
Whatever this turns out to be, the person explicitly said that whoever was affected didnt want this out there so it seems weird to just...do the exact opposite The thread also mentioned the Menzingers drummer?
its only the mega ticket thats £170 which is for all three dates. One day only is £49 (55 with after party entry). This festival is super value for money. Each date is the same line up, it not like a three day long festival with different bands
Nice, I was misreading it then. That's actually pretty great. I've been told they often announce some cool smaller bands closer to the time as wll. I think Citizen and Sorority Noise played last year, which would be more my scene than Good Charlotte lol
I don’t like that they just come out and make the allegation with no context... however these things usually end up being true in some sort of way so...
Yeah idk. I’m gonna hold off especially since the victim allegedly didn’t want this to be out there. Who are we to say that person inThursday didn’t atone/address the situation privately with the victim?
Huge grey area right now. Any kind of sexual assault is not okay, but going above the victim's wishes is also not a good look
That person/tweet mentioning "allegations" and then as an afterthought mentioning it was supposed to remain private per the original person's requests reads as a weird gotcha moment to me
All ears if a victim wants to come forward, who knows. people need to mind their own damn business sometimes, tho.
Something that's been on my mind a while: In a situation where someone has told you their story of victimization, doesn't want it to be known, but you know the perpetrator and sever ties with them, what do you do when people ask why you don't associate with them anymore? So far I've respected victims' silence and their efforts to move past it, but with a perpetrator who is deeply engrained in a group of acquaintances, how do you call a spade a spade while still respecting victim's privacy, without being vague and shady? It's difficult, anyone have insight since it's sorta related?
As great as their discography is (especially the strength of their last 3-4 releases), Full Collapse is still probably my favorite.
