You Were The Cancer is the best closer, and a top 3 Thursday song.

 

I️ also revisited no devo today. When it came out it was immediately my second favorite Thursday record. It has probably slipped a bit as there are a couple songs that don’t do much for me, but it’s still phenomenal. WATT is tops for me.

 

I'm still unraveling No Dev, some real wild stuff in there. I have a feeling I'll be peeling back those layers for years. The rhythms work so seamlessly but when I actually pay attention it's like ????? What's really goin on here

Lots of great work here from Tucker on drums. No Answers, A Darker Forest, Sparks, Past And Future Ruins, Magnets, Turnpike, Stay True... This album has his best work

 

Magnets is one of my favorite Tucker performances

 

It's a ton of fun to play on drums. That linear style beat in the intro and outro is awesome

 

Magnets is a top 5 Thursday song for me. Fast to the end possibly top 10.

 

CE is my favorite if only because of how gothic and stylish it is

 

Yeah, No Answers is crazy and magnets was my first Thursday song and still is jaw dropping

 

I love that record so much, its upsetting its so underappreciated.

 

Common Existence has the strongest At the Drive In vibes for me, but in a way that feels fresh and original. I used to feel weird about the drum sound but I think it's an asset now, adds to the atmosphere.

 

Ce has a rough start with the opener being not very good but the rest rules. But it sounds worse than the albums before and after it. I like the sound of Dark Mountain on the split a lot more, it's very organic and spacious

 

Resuscitation is a great song imo

 

Resuscitation is great, definitely not there top opener but it's solid.

I just don't think it's up to par with everything else on there. Bridge is cool though but imagine Last Call opening that record? Would be insane

 

hmmmm Last Call is probably the better song but Resuscitation does a better job as an opener.

 

Wtf resuscitation is fantastic and it's maybe not their best opener but that one gets me the most hype. I feel like I can do anything when it starts
