fuck it lets get Cursive and Rise Against in there too because i want to hear Resuscitation and My Brother live and i want to hear both Tims just go fucking bonkers with it

yo thought about this today, prawn makes so much sense as a thursday opener

 

that sounds familiar, has that been brought up before? i feel like around the time of the holiday shows last year someone mentioned prawn as a possibility or smth

They did in '03 I believe. It was Deftones with Thursday and Thrice opening, such a fun tour.

 

yep, would be cool to have that happen again. i know Geoffs a big fan of Deftones music. they seem to have had a large influence on a lot of bands from that era

Rather than endlessly overwriting the original experiences that we shared with so many of you, we've been discussing how and when to wrap up this trip down memory lane. In the next year, we'll be announcing our international tours as well as a final group of dates in the US, that will be totally unlike anything we've ever attempted to do.

Beyond that, we will only return in the event of new music. And new music will only come if we feel it's truly inspired and adds a new dimension to the band. In our humble opinions, there are only a few bands that have put out records worth coming back for. Bands like Portishead and MBV.
We have loved every minute of these shows. We look forward to the next year and everything it brings.

 

Going to every date of that UK tour.

 

The "totally unlike anything we've ever attempted to do" has me excited for next year.

Doubt I'll be able to make it to any of the holiday shows. I wish I was on the east coast haha

 

so basically, seems like no new music right now, next year could be it for them

 

Damn. International Tours. US Tour. Holiday Shows. And they're still weighing the decision to make more music or not. I'll take it.

 

Yeah. Unless they're inspired in writing, but from the sounds of it, they haven't really hit anything they would want to release.

 

I'm confident that after 2018 they might have another long period of time off but they'll be back somehow, eventually.
