Not being able to see these guys live will always bum me out... if they ever reunite for even a show I'll be there.
When I had a crush on my high school sweetheart again back in 2011, I saw Taking Back Sunday with her and some friends so I could be with her more when her relationship was on the rocks instead of seeing Thursday's final Philly show. Her and I would go on to date for only about four months. Without a shred of doubt, one of the worst decisions I've ever made in my life. It still haunts me. But I'm glad I found this thread to also find solace in.
My all-time favorite band. I miss them so much. My birthday and Christmas wish is the same every year-for at least one more show, preferably a WATT-in-its-entirety show with a second set of fan favorites/requests...A guy can dream right?
If they do a reunion tour guys..we're all going. Dirty can buy our tickets. Jake can make the sammys. I'll drive.
i hope jason lets me do an ACBTLD 10 year article for chorus idk if youve heard. but its my favorite album of all time. i might look into some good tattoo artists who can pull off a sleeve inspired by the album art
How is that record ten years old already? I remember the buildup to that release so vividly. I must have listened to those leaked demos hundreds of times.
i discovered it a few months after it had come out thanks to counting being a pretty well rotated single on alternative music channels. it was my first exposure to thursday and it floored me, i bought acbtld and watt on a whim on itunes in very early 2008 and it changed my life forever. i was 15 years old
Nooo ten years? The first time I saw them was in LA and I remember standing in line in the pouring rain forever waiting to get inside haha. The last time I saw them the friend who went with me was sick and threw up right before we went inside so she just hung around back and I was alone. The venue had nearly cleared out by the time they came on which was those ppl's loss so I was right up front and it was life changing. I think I saw them three or four times? But every time they put on the best show I've ever seen.
I hate that I never got to see them live. War All The Time is one of my all-time favorites and helped shift my taste in slightly more heavier directions.
I need to revisit that EP. It's the only Thursday record I don't have in some physical format, so I tend to forget about it sometimes.
