Craft Recordings celebrates the 21st anniversary of Thursday’s seminal sophomore album, Full Collapse, with a limited-edition 10-inch vinyl collection. A highly-influential title in the post-hardcore scene, 2001’s Full Collapse was the band’s breakout album, thanks in large part to the popularity of singles “Understanding in a Car Crash” and “Cross Out the Eyes.” Now, fans have the opportunity to revisit the genre-defining album in a new light. Set for release on October 28th and available for pre-order today, the anniversary box set (limited to 5,000 copies worldwide) presents the entire album across three 10-inch LPs. The reissue is housed in a unique hardcover book and features a collection of never-before-seen photos of the band, captured by photographer Nathaniel Shannon between 2001-2002. Shannon, who has worked closely with Thursday throughout their career, as well as with Rolling Stone, the BBC, Vice, and Alternative Press, among many others, also includes a personal introduction. “It’s really an honor to see Full Collapse get the deluxe box set treatment for its 20th anniversary. We’ve worked hard to make sure this little package that captures the feeling of those unforgettable days.” –– Thursday In addition to the boxset, a brand new, Full Collapse-inspired t-shirt design has been created to celebrate the release. It is available for pre-order now exclusively at www.craftrecordings.com. Thursday would like to dedicate this release to the memory of Tim Gilles. more Not all embedded content is displayed here. Yea, I cannot tell if there is any bonus material. Credit to Victory to find yet another way to monetize their back catalog.
They could make a hell of a lot more money if they pressed wide releases of WOTT and ACBTLD and did it right. They are just beating a dead horse at this point.
Victory doesn't own those albums, neither does the band. You're right though, that a WATT pressing would be very popular.
I really want to want this but I just can't justify paying that price, especially for a record I already own.
1. This is too much of a money grab, even though I love this band and record so much. Include bonus content and put it on standard 12”, I don’t even need 180. But I’m not doing a 10” boxset here. 2. Tony has nothing to do with Victory at this point, so any hate is misdirected. But, yes, fuck Tony forever.
In case some were on the fence about paying for shipping, or just paying for the full set now before it ships in late October, an Amazon listing has popped up here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09T94S8XS/?tag=absolutepunk-20
