Yeah, considering the rooms are all fairly small, it makes sense.

I honestly don't mind paying the money, but I kinda wish they were playing both albums in one night. I would much prefer that even if ticket prices were doubled and they played nothing else other than the 2 albums.

I'm assuming they'll play a few other songs each night outside of the album playthroughs?

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

On the other shows they did a couple songs after the album play

I would guess they’d do at least 5 or 6 more songs

Each show they’ve done these at has had a 2-3 song encore with one show being a total of 16 songs but that was a “hometown” show. Which is kind of weak. I think each show should be 4-6 more songs. At $35 a night (in Cleveland, anyways) I just feel like the sets should be a bit longer. Which is something I’ve always had a problem with with Thursday is that I feel like they put on a great show but the setlist and length always seem to be lazy. Every time Geoff has said they would be playing a longer setlist or songs they’ve never played before or switch things up, it really is never much different.

I'd be STUNNED if they played more than 3 songs following the album.

I don't know... the albums aren't that long, like 40 min or so. That'd be a short set, especially with only one opener per show. I've never seen them live though, so I'm not sure how long a normal set for them is.

Their normal set is like 15-17 songs. I saw them last year (not a full album show) and they played for a little more than an hour (15 songs). It was pretty short. As @TMS2787 said, they're pretty known for playing short sets.

Most (if not all) of the album shows they did earlier this year and last were just 13-15 song sets. The full album, and then 2-3 songs afterward.

Maybe they'll announce more openers (or local openers)

...or *fingers crossed* Vein will get to play their entire discography.

Very excited to get tickets to both shows in Dallas. Will be bittersweet seeing them one last time.

Check your show time, they might. Here the shows start at 8:30, so I’m assuming it’ll just be a two band bill

Boston show no longer happening at Middle East? Kind of lame if this goes to a larger venue when they’re playing Chain four times which is small as fuck.

I noticed that today. Haven't found any more info about another venue just yet... I'm fine with it getting moved to a bigger venue so long as it's not the Paradise.

    Fingers crossed for the Sinclair.

EDIT: They tweeted about it. They're moving it. More info coming next week.

I didn't realize they publicized the show time at 8:30. That definitely makes me think Thursday's set will not be that long. You figure the opener will be 8:30-9:10 and then probably Thursday like 9:40 to 11 (and really be done at like, 10:50)

I love Thursday (seen them two dozen times since 2001) but I don't know if I want to spend 40 bucks for an hour long set with 1 opener that I don't know. Like everyone said, they're known for not doing long sets. Not sure why. Is it really that tiring? Taking Back Sunday is doing two albums in one night. Motion City Soundtrack did a tour a couple of years with two albums. I've seen Kevin Devine do three albums for like the same price. On second thought, I may skip this one.

    Things have changed.

I think their music is just very taxing to play for a long duration, especially for Geoff. Obviously other bands who do similar stuff can play for longer, but it feels like it's especially rough on them.

I'm definitely going to wait to buy tickets. I'm not even so sure it'll sell out in Cleveland. It probably will, but I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a while. And even if it does, I bet I could find cheaper tickets a day or two before the show from people unloading them last minute. $95 for two shows (plus $10-$20 parking for two straight nights) for a Thursday set seems kind of insane to me.

They vastly undersold the last time they played Cleveland (tickets were much cheaper too), and while it wasn't a full album show, it was the first time they had headlined here in six years so you would have thought there would have been some anticipation/excitement about them coming.

I know Saint Vitus is tiny but the ticket link literally never came up with available tickets today... Had it open in the app and the site and both directly linked to none available. Bummer.

I bought tickets the moment they went on sale. They must have just sold out immediately :(

I kept trying and got one at 10:10! I’ve never seen one do that though. Didn’t even give me the option of putting one in the cart until that time. So stoked though.

That's so strange! I'm glad you got one though! Guess we'll have to do a chorus.fm meetup ;-p

Sometimes I'll pay for parking behind the Agora, but normally by the time I show up, it's full so I find either street parking or park illegally in another parking lot for free. But it's often a mess trying to find parking - especially when I typically show up right before the headliner.
