I thought Pullman did an amazing job of showing that the light/dark were both present and battling at all times, whether it was a literal physical battle or just him trying to put on a happy/brave/social face when he is clearly down inside. I don’t read the comics but I felt fully satisfied from what they gave us in the movie. Ghost being relegated to a secondary tier of character development is maybe the 1 knock I would give the movie.

  2. Yelena is obv great but Ghost and esp Taskmaster are very underdeveloped in comparison. I like that they showed a bit of Valentina's backstory to humanize her a little without outright trying to justify her actions in any way

Feel like Ghost is a casualty of excising Taskmaster and having nothing to replace it with.

Iger keeping a “____ is the first example of us being good again” press release warm like he’s The NY Times sitting on a pre-written obituary for an older celebrity. They weren’t able to send it out for Brave New World but having to wait just one movie ain’t bad.

Tatiana nailed She-Hulk, but the story wasn't amazing or anything. Still enjoyed it though!

Ms. Marvel is the only D+ MCU show I never bothered finishing

I'll vouch for Ms Marvel being fun as heck.

    Still have not watched She-Hulk.

She-Hulk was OK. I wish the TV shows had fully leaned into being TV genre pieces and She-Hulk was a proper workplace sitcom featuring Marvel characters.

Echo I saw only 1 episode of and I haven’t seen the new Daredevil so, from what I’ve seen in full, the Nick Fury show was the least fun or interesting and Falcon + Winter Soldier was a letdown after Wandavision. The rest are OK to fun, IMO.

I have largely enjoyed the MCU even though I do agree some projects are clearly better than others, but a growing concern preying on my mind is how many loose ends we currently have that are unlikely to see real closure, at least not soon.

Falcon And The Winter Soldier is a great example, as we have not seen Sharon since then. Eternals, Moon Knight, Secret Invasion for the most part, all disconnected.

The odd thing to me is that the Infinity Saga had no plan from the outset and yet seemed to come together naturally, while this was planned from the beginning but feels haphazard.

It didn’t really amount to anything but I thought it was fun on the first and only viewing I’ll ever make of it. I generally dislike most TV and movies I watch and feel like every one is kinda uneven and a let down in the end but I enjoy the ritual of watching movies and TV. I’m judging the MCU movies and shows on the latter, kinder scale of “was it fun in the moment” and not “was this actually any good” because I’d unlock my own Void of darkness and scrutiny of media if I had to actually review any of these things.

It is BUT music is where I get 99% of my nerd entertainment art enjoyment from. I think TV and film are just way too collaborative and too dependent on the logistical and commercial side of things to have a high batting average. And I do enjoy going to the movies even if the movie is bad. I just don’t have favorite movies and shows the way I have hundreds of favorite albums I love front to back.

Moon Knight was one of the better D+ shows but still a big letdown. Didnt hold a candle to any of the Netflix Marvel series

Marvel shows I’ve had a desire to rewatch: WandaVision and Loki (season 1)

Marvel films (post-Endgame) I’ve had a desire to rewatch: Shang-Chi, Wakanda Forever, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, and Thunderbolts

I can only recommend shows/films that I think have rewatch value.

Honestly skip everything in phase 4 except for Shang-Chi, No Way Home, Hawkeye, Loki S1, and Werewolf by Night. Phase 5 just watch Loki S2, Thunderbolts, and GOTG 3.

I forgot about Hawkeye season 1 and WBN

I’ve rewatched both of those. Add them to the recommendations
