There was a group of 5 or 6 teen bros next to me that were loudly talking, laughing, texting, showing each other videos and just being assholes for most of the movie. Told them to be quiet twice. You should be allowed to punch those kind of people.
That sucks. A guy apparently fell asleep either before the movie started or pretty quickly when it did. Very early on you could suddenly hear him making huge snores. After a couple times, somebody yelled out, “are you okay?” and it must have woken him up as it stopped after that. More funny than annoying as it was only audible when nobody was talking.
excited to see this but im seeing some stuff about how they handle the void in a way that is totally different from the comics that really annoys me
I’m not keeping up with this thread until after I see it but can the usual suspects in MCU threads be normal please
I love where the team is left at the end of the movie and how they despise the person “in charge,” but Doomsday won’t give that the time of day, unfortunately.
I don’t know anything about Sentry and didn’t know what to expect out of this going in. I was dealing with depressions and loneliness all day today. Then I go and watch this and fuuuuckk I needed this and I didn’t even know
Yeah, really enjoyed this. Not perfect, but felt like each character had their own personality, even beyond what we knew of them from their past movies/shows. And it actually stuck to a theme about mental health (as much as an MCU movie can without it magically disappearing like Tony’s anxiety attacks in IM3). Wasn’t totally sold on Lewis Pullman in Top Gun: Maverick, but was impressed by him in this. Yung Bill Pullman’s got the goods!
Also, thank the lord for no multiverse nonsense. And you knew Taskmaster was getting waxed when it was obvious the actor’s face was green-screened in after her mask went up. It was like she did it over a Zoom call.
This also had one of the best 3rd acts in a Marvel film. I really appreciated the fact that 1) the heroes were running through the city saving people instead of fist-fighting the baddie. Something we haven’t seen in a long time 2) The Void was overcome not by physical strength, but by the will of Bob and co. That’s some superhero stuff I believe every individual can get behind.
Matt Desmond (@disneyscoopguy) on Threads Edit: does Threads just not embed anymore? it’s a video of David Harbor at Avengers Campus where he meets Red Guardian, who will be in the park for a limited time to meet.
