This thread is full of "this song is better than this song", so how is that different than a bracket? Same type of discussion. The stance on anti brackets does not make any sense. More conversation about the band and their discography happens usually.
In regards to song rankings I feel like brackets is a bit misleading to get best. Might make more sense to do it like EOY album tanking where you everyone picks their top 20. Each placement gets a pt value. And do 2-3 round of that to get a final top 10. Deadbolt might win that way tho so maybe not.
I've always thought it's make an amazing opener. So glad I saw it live on the last tour. I never thought I'd see it in my life since I became fan at the release of TAI
Yeah I just like coming to a thread, making a snap judgement on something and leaving it at that. Not making a whole bracket. But respect, a lot of you like them so keep rocking
I dunno.......I feel like it's all in the same boat as album rankings, song rankings, talking about favorite songs and most everything else talked about in any music thread. I'm just happy to talk about anything related to my favorite band, I'm not very selective on what.
Anyone seen Dustin on his solo tour? He played "A Song For Milly Michaelson" on his set the last time he came through here and it was dope
I like Earth Will Shake, but it is probably my fifth or sixth favorite on Vheissu. I think it is tough to judge Thrice on what their best song is because of the variety of styles they implement and execute across their discography. I'll put my foot down and say Daedalus is the best Thrice song.
The “oh gods” rather than “oh god” in Daedalus always stood out to me. It’s such a minor detail but makes the song accurate to the time it’s talking about.
In one interview I heard recently, Dustin expressed some interest in a "best-of" album, in which some older songs would be re-recorded. The question mainly came up when he stated he dislikes his vocals prior to Alchemy, but I have always wanted to hear the live version of "Milly Michaelson" released.
The show was great tonight! The Window really is even more awesome live! But I think it's weird (and sad) that the only Beggars song they play is a b-side :/
Also there's a band that couldn't make it to the show (Chon) so Balance and Composure played a little longer. I was hoping that every band would play a couple more songs, so there would be a chance that Thrice could play Stay With Me, but only B&C was extended :(
I'll never understand how brackets are so bad. Most of them took place in threads that were pretty much dead. How is that killing conversation when there's more conversation going during brackets than before?
Agreed. People whining about brackets like crybabies should totally go get a hobby as they contribute nothing on this site.
I actually like the live version from The House of Blues dvd best. I do dig that acoustic one too. Wasn't that on the Come All You Weary EP?
