Teppei’s leads on Beggars sound incredible

 

I think M/M is kind of underrated. Lots of great tracks and lyrics on that album. I guess some of the lyrics were too overtly Christian for some people. Dustin's voice sounds extra gravelly on most tracks, which I actually really like. Wasn't he having vocal issues at the time of recording?

 

All i know is he was sick at one point and his vocals on Treading Paper reflect that

 

to me dustins voice really started to change with the last album and his solo album. Major Minor sounds pretty clean in comparison to those two albums.. I'm sure over the years it took a toll on him but I also wonder if stopping touring was a big part of it. By the end of the first tour for TBEITBN he was sounding like his old self again. Will be interested to hear him on this next album after touring a while, his vocals may actually be cleaner since he will be in better vocal shape per say..

 

Anyone else foolish enough to look at the people who reply to Dustin's tweets? These people are insufferable.

 

I didn't see replies because he posts so rarely that I usually miss his tweets. I did see him post an edit/rebuttal so it must have been pretty bad

i just went through all of them and wanted to drop in here to tell everyone how depressed and hopeless they make me feel.

 

Listening to Dustin's interview on Lead Singer Syndrome, and he confirmed a repress for Alchemy Index, which should be announced "any time now".

 

I wonder if the packaging is going to be the same or if it's going to new.

I'll buy it again either way though

 

He said something along the same lines at the Orlando show.

Will also buy it again.

 

I've never owned the vinyl of this, but I'll buy it as soon as pre-orders are up.

Adding to what others have said: at last night's show in Charlotte, Dustin confirmed an Alchemy Index repress has been ordered, and was supposed to be ready in time for the tour. So it sounds like it could be up for sale any day now.

 

Ugh I just hope I'm not doing anything when it goes up for sale

 

Listening to the Dustin interview and of course it had to end on a question about Brand New (before the news) because I can't just enjoy Thrice and distance BN from them, thanks universe.

It was a really enjoyable interview though. I love hearing thoughts from any of the Thrice guys.

 

Excited for TAI repress. Sold mine a few years ago and immediately regretted it.

 

I still can’t listen to Hurricane without getting chills when the final chorus kicks in.

 

It’s that chord change

Every chorus of that song starts on the 4 chord but then the last chorus starts on the 1 chord, its subtle but it sounds awesome
