Major/minor was the first Thrice record I ever heard. Love that grungey sound. Dustin’s vocals are amazing. Yellow Belly, Blinded, and Disarmed are among my favorite Thrice songs.
Same. I know some people get turned off by Dustin's lyrics on some of the songs, but I've never found them overly preachy. The record sounds incredible regardless.
Exactly why ive been listening, I needed to be reminded that there are other incredible band stuff out there.
I like Major/Minor, but it's definitely my least favorite since The Illusion Of Safety. There's a bunch of good songs on there, but not many great ones (Yellow Belly, Words In The Water, and Anthology are the standouts). Overall though it just feels a bit boring compared to a lot of their other albums. Feels very one-note for much of the album, which is probably why I rarely listen to it. Not a bad album, but they've definitely done far better.
The instrumental on Disarmed is gorgeous but I feel Dustin dropped the ball on the chorus little bit.
Yellow Belly, Blinded, Cataracts, Blur are all top notch thrice songs The rest is anywhere from good to meh to “Listen Through Me”
I'd also add Call It In The Air, Blur, and Disarmed to the other songs that I enjoy, but the rest didn't leave much of an impression on me
Thrice is recording "part of the next record on their own" per today's TAI video release. Bummer. I really wanted Eric doing the whole thing again. Buffer
It might not be but I swear I remember seeing people saying they weren’t huge on it. Maybe it was Listen Through Me, which I also like.
