That could be cool, or even if they just highlight TAI in their setlist and play 1 or 2 from each volume.
If anyone enjoyed nothing, nowhere on last year's fall tour know that n,n dropped his first full length today.
For those interested, I have just started a bracket for Thrice in a different thread. If you are not familiar with the other brackets that took place, they are tournaments where we go from album to album putting songs against each other and everyone votes to decide which is their best song. Thrice: A Bracket to End All Brackets This is the only post I will make in this thread about this.
I'm so bummed I can't see them this tour. Oh well. They should be playing a lot of their new album in theory on their next tour, right? That will be great.
I really want to go see them next week. Especially with all the teasing about "playing something special" Anyone know, is Circa closing every night?
Oh my word. I can’t wait to see this live. Thrice makes me so mad with how good their b-sided are. I am strictly a “complete album” listener and these b-sides wreak havoc with my listening habits. I still don’t know how to properly incorporate them into my listening habits. My idiosyncrasies are obnoxious sometimes.
They just announced they are playing an Alchemy Index “suite” on this tour for the ten year anniversary too! If that means we get 1 & 2 in their entirety I’ll be a happy man. Holy hell. I am so excited.
Do you mean all four albums or 1-2 songs from the first two volumes? Because 3 & 4 didn’t come out until April 2008. So the “10 year anniversary” only applies to the first two
All 4. Dustin just said “Alchemy Index” in that video. I assume if they were only doing Fire and Water he would’ve been clear(er) about it.
Hmmmm Considering this tour only goes until the end of the year, I’m guessing it will stick to 1 & 2 and then some spring tour next year might include something for 3 & 4. But I suppose we will find out soon enough.
Aren't they supposed to be recording after this tour/early next year? I would guess their next tour would be in support of the new album and they wouldn't want to take away from that by focusing on a release from 10 years ago. To me, this kind of end-of-cycle/quasi-off-cycle tour is the perfect place to celebrate an anniversary and play some songs. But I guess we'll find out in 2 days.
Ok, now for the big question. Let’s say, for argument’s sake, that @KidLightning is correct and it’s two songs from each of the four volumes. What 8 songs do you want to hear? Edit: Another possibility, which I think you suggested, is one song from each played in order. That strikes me as more of a suite.
