Deftones tour was only in SD for SoCal and having seen them plenty in the reunion era I was okay with missing a support set. A headliner in the fall will definitely hit their home base so I'm excited for that.
Really curious to find out who the support will be. Please don't be La Dispute again. Would love to see O'Brother with them.
Listened to The Illusion Of Safety for the first time in almost a decade, and realized how similar it is to early Protest The Hero and Propagandhi. I had forgotten they were that technical and punk-y during their early years.
I think Aviator would be a great opener for them. They give me some Thrice vibes, both in some of the vocals (screaming) and guitar work, but they also are pretty similar to Touche Amore.
Would actually love it if they only took Caspian out. Give Caspian a 45 minutes set, then Thrice plays for an hour and a half or so
Caspian and Thrice are my two favorite bands so I'd drool over it. Underoath got it right when they decided to take them out on the Rebirth tour.
Riley loves Caspian so I'd love to see it happen, but Caspian may be buckling down to record in the fall
Yeah, they've said they won't be touring on D&D anymore. I remember them saying Erin would be away hiking/camping the Appalachian Trail for a few months. Let's hope for Thrice's new album release tour next year.
My dream bands to open up for Thrice on this tour (that are all doubtful): Cave In Torche Poison The Well Pelican Sumac Mutoid Man Cloud Nothings
How about they have Less Art open for them? Also, new Less Art song on NPR with guest vocals from Meghan O'Neill-Pennie: Vigilante Rage Courses Through Less Art's Post-Hardcore Elegy 'Diana The Huntress'
