I like Sea Change for the most part. It ends well as you'd expect from Thrice. I can see why they left it off the record, though. It doesn't quite fit with the rest of TBEITBN.
Thanks for that. Listening to it, it wouldn't have fit on TBEITBN, but I really like the song, very relaxed, something that could have fit somewhere on the Alchemy Index.
Agreed, I feel like it sits somewhere between Water and Air - and it reminds me of Salt and Shadow a bit. I can see how it didn't gel with the rest of TBEITBN, but I'm really glad they saved it as a B-side.
Echoing sentiment that it didn't belong on the record but love the heavy part at the end of, lead guitar is still too quiet there ;)
If the majority of bands wrote "Sea Change," it'd be the best song on their record. For Thrice, it's just another day at the office.
Any way yet to hear sea change online? Don't have the record, record player, or cool friends that bought a copy.
Just got Sea Change $38 shipped. The shop I went to this morning only had five and they went quick. I wasn't going to take a chance on waiting for anything cheaper.
Thank you for the recommendation. I went for this EP 70kms to the next record store but not one copy left, if they had one at all. I'm happy to have a digital copy at least. Would be great if the band releases it digitally anyway. I like my music in high bitrates and would love to throw money at them.
Got mine for $30 (shipping included) from eBay. I didn't want to sit on it and wait for it to get cheaper either, as I don't think it's going to be cheaper.
