They had signed ones for $40 and unsigned for $20. I bought an unsigned but still awesome. Can't wait to frame it!
In addition to Dustin as our first dance, I was able to sneak Stay With Me as our recessional song. 5 more days until the wedding. Gotta start writing them vows.
just use the Stay With Me lyrics. no one will realize it until the second chorus hits during the recessional.
I'm hoping I can find the 7" somewhere after RSD, because it's the day of my kids' first birthday party and I won't be able to go hunt it down that day. #dadrock
Just the one B-side and a live version of Black Honey, which I believe someone stated as being acoustic
You were built for blessing But you only make them bleed But you don’t care, you don’t care And bruises are but shadows Of the blackness that you breathe But you don’t care, you don’t care Man, how good is "Yellow Belly"?
some things on Major/Minor just slayed. I know they have at least one more great album and I can't wait to hear it/them
Even though TBEITBN isn't my favorite, its still solid and they are still great live. I'd say they have a more than one great one left in em Yellowbelly hasn't lost it's edge for me since I heard it 6 years ago. Song is top tier Thrice.
So the wedding came and went. It was amazing. First Dance to Dustin had me crying like a baby. Having Stay With Me as the recessional was real fun. Nice to hear something as comforting as Thrice after all those emotions during the ceremony.
Busy times for Dustin and Thrice this year :D Alternative rock singer Dustin Kensrue pursuing solo projects Q&A with musician Dustin Kensrue Basic highlights are they writing for another Thrice album and have fall tour plans, sounds like it could be a 10 year Vheissu tour. Also looks like Dustin has a project with his brother that will indie pop/electronic sounding. Exciting time to be a Thrice fan :D
True, haha. Was thinking it was 2016 still which would still be an 11 year anniversary tour. I know they've mentioned stuff about it before I think particularly Riley, but I honestly don't see them doing that unless they did maybe special album shows which would be cool.
I know Vheissu may be viewed as more influential, but I would so much rather see a Beggars 10 year show, if they opt to play any full album sets in the future. (...ah, who am I kidding? An actively-touring Thrice is a gift, regardless.)
