I listened to the whole thing and it was interesting. I'm glad that he's publicly addressing some of the stuff that happened after being quiet about it for so long, although he still didn't say too much about specifics. Possibly for legal reasons. It sounds like his heart was in the right place, but man, he really couldn't have picked a worse time and place for everything that went down. It sounds like he's still on a journey, but aren't we all. I also think it's kind of funny that out of all of the Thrice songs he now has an issue with theologically, it's "In Exile." Guess I never interpreted it the way he does.
I’ve been on this forum for a decade apparently. Decided to throw myself a party in here. Feels apt. (Minus the 2 years I took off because I had some personal shit to figure out away from online communities.) I enjoy discussing music with most of you. (Something something Bilbo “I like half of you…”) Edit: This is not including the decade(?) I was on absolutepunk.
I saw them in Nottingham on Tuesday - it was a brilliant performance. I love the new album so much and the songs they played from it were amazing. My first time seeing them live and a great experience.
@Fucking Dustin put me onto this one and it definitely is right in that Thrice vein, so recommending it here too.
Hi everyone i am just checking this band out for the first time I am 35 years old and was perusing Absolutepunk from the mid aughts onward but for whatever reason basically skipped Thrice. Ama i guess.
They’re playing Red Rocks with TBS in October and as much as I’d love to see them play Red Rocks, I have zero interest in TBS as a headliner.
I have been trying to see Thrice in SLC for years and every time I am either out of town for vacation or sick. So I will be going to this tour. And just starting to listen to Adorn. Fantastic band! Thank you for the recommendation
its a good thing theyre playing first so i can show up late and not be subjected to piece of shit chris conley!
I was working off Jason's front page headline: "Thrice Opening Taking Back Sunday Tour." But if they're playing second, I'll cover all the bases: It's very unusual to have the best band on the bill play second.
Anyway Artist In The Ambulance is fun but Vheissu is the album that has really grabbed my attention. Not to invoke other bands for whom the same applies... but it feels like The Artist In The Ambulance is a great example of the genre. Whereas Vheissu transcends the genre.
I feel like every time I've seen TBS it's been in Tacoma, which is weird. I'll probably go, if nothing else because Thrice only ever plays Showbox SODO when they're here and I hate that venue with a passion.
