haha yeah, I understand having genres like Metal, punk, pop, rock, rap, ect but post rock? emo? screamo? I think it's telling that the bands themselves don't want to be categorized in those terms lol
Either that or we listen to a lot of different stuff, which is more like it since there are years worth of music each of us haven't heard yet out there.
You don't think sweet bass line saves the chorus? I'll agree that it's the weakest part of the song compared to the verses and the breakdown at the end.
Beggars definitely has a lot more variety than M/M. Beggars has All The World Is Mad, Circles, Doublespeak, Wood And Wire, and the title track all on the same album. M/M just seems to be doing the same thing every song just at different tempos, except for Words In The Water and Disarmed.
Put me in the camp that Beggars is way more varied then M/m, Beggars is such a great album. It's Thrice's best album post Vheissu. Beggars has such a great rhythm going throughout. I don't want to rank their albums right now, but Beggars is definitely up there as their best. It's definitely their best of their least experimental albums.
Does anybody know what plugins or synths they use for the weird tones in Sky Is Falling? Perhaps they talk about it in one of the making of videos people were asking for pages back in this thread. Thanks.
Did you read the liner notes of the alchemy index? There's some pretty awesome production talk in there: Liner notes for The Alchemy Index (Volumes I-IV)...
Since I had no idea what YouTube Space was, I did a quick search. An Inside Look at YouTube's Creators Studio In Los Angeles Just in case anyone else wasn't exactly sure either.
So will whatever is being filmed at Youtube Space be a live performance, music video, interview, all of the above?
Hard to tell, I'm going to guess a music video but would be way cooler if it was a live performance in the vein of the red bull sessions
Yeeeessssssss! They did 5 songs that had great sound mix and editing. Their music videos have never justified their songs....well, Image was pretty cool but the band performance lacked.
hmmmmm, I have disagree with myself on that one and change it to Weary being cool along Image as well. The setting and tone does actually match the song and is well shot.
