I'm not sure but I joined for a month or two and couldn't even get an invitation to their discord figured out, felt like a waste of money, I love coming here and the FB In Exhile group for news. Would be sweet to get some possible studio videos at some point. I wonder if they are writing individually or jamming ideas out together now that they have their own studio again.
At some point in the last couple of weeks Teppei posted on Instagram (a reel maybe? I don't understand IG) something showing his setup in the studio. Seemed to me to suggest that they're recording.
Same. It has been nearly 3 years since their last album of new material. They've had lots of time to write. I suspect they'll release the next album somewhere between fall '24 and spring '25.
I rather them take their time and make a super inspired/ambitious album Some stuff I selfishly want them to bring back: Dustin's falsetto, water and airy type ambience, more unpredictable song structures, those beautiful stacked vocal harmonies If they do decide to experiment with their sound, I hope they don't worry about if it fits as a thrice song
For what it's worth, DK already said "next year" during a live stream for his solo record. Q1 has been my best bet for a while now.
What would be a good 10-12 song Thrice mix to show someone that isn't a fan and shows how great and versatile they are?
Enjoyable new podcast with Riley and the dude who's designed a lot of Thrice art, Jordan Butcher. There's some other drum dudes on it as well. Drums?
There's a chance I'll have a spare ticket to the first night of The Stuffing this year (Friday, Nov 22nd). I don't believe I'll have access to transfer the ticket until that week, but just posting to check interest in case it helps anyone plan.
Beggars album art finally got updated on streaming services. It's the small things that make me happy.
The leak was in July and it was released digitally in August (Wkipedia says the 9th in the UK and the 11th in the US).
My favorite Thrice material most days. Absolutely insane it’s 15 years old. I was starting my freshmen year of community college when it came out and remember really resonating with it. Great band
I remember Daisy coming out around the same time and REALLY looking forward to it, but when I heard this album I could give a crap about Daisy then.
just gave Beggars a run for the first time in a bit, still very easily my favorite by them. think i might just fuck around and do a catalog run today.
